Audit Department Officals Attend Asean Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) Workshop on Quality Assurance in Financial Audit in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

The ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) conducted its first training titled “ASEANSAI Workshop on Quality Assurance (QAFA)” in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from the 3rd until the 8th December 2012. The workshop is the first training activity organised by the ASEANSAI Training Committee as part of the ASEANSAI 2012-2013 Work Plan agreed earlier in Jaipur, India in late February 2012.
The six days workshop covered areas such as the Quality Assurance Review process, Quality Assurance function, key elements of the Supreme Audit Institutions’ level of Audit Quality Management System (AQMS) framework, Financial Audit process and the Quality Assurance Review plan for Financial Audit. The workshop aims to build capacity in the field of Quality Assurance in Financial Audit.
Present at the opening ceremony was the Chairman of ASEANSAI Mr. Hadi Poernomo, Chair of ASEANSAI Training Committee Ms. Maria Gracia Pulido-Tan, officers from Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan (BPK), instructors and participants from the 10 ASEANSAI member countries.
